The other day, it was so crazy. There were all these screeching noises out on the road outside our house, like someone was doing burnouts in their car. Someone was. So my sis went outside to see what was going on. There was this guy and girl, and this really nice black, shiny car smashed full into our ditch. She yelled something out to the guy, and he came up to her and fully started yelling, it was so scary. Then he tried to deck her and for a moment I really thought he was gonna hurt her, but she blocked and moved out of the way. Karate helps that! So then our next door neighbour, Lucy's dad Mike came out and just was really calm to the guy, who was swearing and all and just full, like, going off at him. And his excuse was that his girlfriend was driving, and the car was too powerful for her. And Mike was just like, "If you'd been doing the speed limit, it wouldn't have mattered how powerful the car is."
So the guy complained that they'd just come home from a funeral, and they didn't need any of this shit from him[Mike]. A FUNERAL. A funeral! What, you wanna make someone else's funeral, do you? So anyway, they were like, drunk and stuff, and they'd been tipping beer out onto the road and in the gravel and stuff. So that was all just really scary, 'cause, what if me or Lucy or Kirsten or Zach and Lachlan or someone was out riding their bikes? What if they got squooshed? That would bloody well hurt! I'm not joking! Bloody hell, I mean we live in a residential area with lots of kids and babies and mothers and elderly couples! And I just can't help but think; what if?
